DIY Teased Hair

This style was so easy to do I just had to share it with y'all!  I got tons of compliments and it probably took me all of about 15 minutes to complete:

The trick to this is a bump it.  I used the tail of a teasing comb to pull out the front inch of hair from the rest of the back.  Clipping it in place for a bit, I pulled the back into two sections, twisting them around one another to form a big twisted bun, then pinned it all in place.

Once secured, I removed the front from the clip and teased it well then brushed it backwards over a bump-it to get even more volume.  Tip: If you have bangs, use hairspray then a shot of hot hair from the hair dryer to set your hair in the direction you want it to go.  This also works great if you have side swoop bangs that tend to fall into your face.

I finished the look with TONS of hairspray (I use this one) and some fun earrings from Stein Mart for $4 (on clearance for 70% off because they are moving locations.

The dress by the way is Xscape from Dillard's - $180 but worth the splurge because the back is fabulous (it dips down even lower than in the photo)!  I couldn't find it online but did find a similar option here.
