Kentucky Derby Bridal Shower: "Mint to Be"

My future sister in law was having a bridal shower for her BFF and I was absolutely delighted when she asked me to help with the decor.  She came up with the Kentucky Derby theme so I can't take credit for that but I did have so much fun running with it!  Photos and DIY explanations all below :).
Horseshoes $2.99 each (used 5).  Hung on 4 ft shepherd's hooks $6.97 each.  Ribbon I had leftover from another wedding.

Front door "I Do" sign used from previous shower shown here

Love sign from my future SIL's home decor; birdcage from my own wedding; sign originally used here then repainted with chalkboard paint and then repurposed.  Mason jar from Dollar Tree with lace sewn over it (from an old Christmas project).  Adorable name tags made by my future SIL's very talented sister.

Wood frames with photos of couple from a previous wedding I did in May.  Vases with faux roses from my own wedding, roses available here for $2.99 on 50% days.  Candles from a wedding I did in May.  Burlap runner from my SIL.  Paper flowers from SIL's sister; sparkle flat flowers from garland for $7.79 (used below then remainder cut up)

Poufs  reused from Angela's shower; floral arrangement designed and created by my mom

Poufs from my SIL; garland with photos stapled to it; rose vases used in my own wedding, see tutorial here

Trophy vases (absolutely hideous to begin with but see tutorial here) with pink and white carnations.  Burlap runner from my mom.  Candles from previous wedding.

Hats I had (tied pink ribbon on some)

Burlap runner from my SIL; vases from my wedding (purchased here) and then added rhinestone ribbon; hydrangeas used in all vases; door wreath created by my mom

Mint, gold and cream curtain backdrop (used in a previous wedding) from Etsy but easy enough to DIY

  1. All set for wedding. Right! Please share some pictures of your special day as well. Bridal shower clicks are pretty pleasing. My colleague's cocktail party was also superb. Everyone liked the outskirt location of venues in NYC and also the cup cake stations arranged with buffet dinner. Danced a lot and anchor made the atmosphere livelier.
