Fall Mason Jar Shower Invitations

I am so excited I finally get to share some recent papery I have done - had to wait until it was mailed of course so I didn't ruin the surprise!  I was inspired by some things I saw on Zazzle but thought I could come up with something completely original (and a little cuter).  You can purchase the entire fall shower package here, but here's some teasers of the invitations!  Each shower guest is going to return the mason jars to the shower and I'll be posting the delivery for the couple project soon (after the shower of course).  Happy Fall Y'all!

Buy Sell Trade Groups

If you haven't heard of a BST group yet, get on board!  These are fantastic social media groups where members can list and purchase kid/baby/adult clothing, home goods and more!  They even have wedding-specific BSTs.  Typically, because they are limited to member approvals and a certain geography, they're much safer than Craigslist.  Just check out some of the items I've scored recently!
Slider door $20 - going to repaint and use for weddings!               Pie safe (refinished project see here) $100

Kate Spade purse $45                                                                                  Banana Republic Wellies $25
(ended up selling on eBay for $65 bc I didn't like color)

Reeses Trifle Recipe: We Reesy Wish You'd Move Here

I love truffles, they are so easy to make but look very fancy!  I found a recipe online for a reese's truffle and decided to try it out, however, while shopping for the ingredients I found a way to make my own delicious spin.  Here is the recipe:

1 box Jell-O No Bake Peanut Butter Cup Mix
1 box instant chocolate pudding
1 box instant vanilla pudding
Large (double size) cool whip
Reese's peanut butter cups

I started out by making the no bake peanut butter mix because it has the most steps for assembly.  I made mine in 2 circular pans but since it was difficult to get out after I might recommend just putting it in the trifle in advance then assembling and letting it set with the other ingredients.

For the rest, follow the instructions for the pudding, and then crush up your reese's cups leaving a few pieces to the side for topping.

1/2 recipe Peanut Butter Cup Jell-O
Chocolate Pudding
Cool Whip
Vanilla Pudding
1/2 recipe Peanut Butter Cup Jell-O
Crushed Reese's
Cool Whip
Pieces of Reese's scattered

Cheap (I spent less than $15 on all ingredients at Aldi) and delicious!  For some added personality I added a custom sign as a surprise from my visiting BFF

Pie Safe to Bar Furniture Makeover

I purchased an adorable pie safe recently for $100 on a Buy Sell Trade group on Facebook.  The girl who posted it was using it as a bar and I decided to copy her idea and use it upstairs in our bonus room.

Materials required:
Furniture to be made over
Furniture Transformations Kit

I picked up a furniture transformation kit for $35 and had it dyed to the Espresso color since I'd used that on some other furniture previously.  It took me several days as this is a 4 step process but I finally got the piece refinished to match my taste.  I also redesigned the shelving structure a little bit and added a wine rack I had from college.

Admittedly I cheated a bit by not painting the inside of the cabinet, but I plan on sticking a mini fridge down there eventually so at least part of it will be covered up!
