Baby Girl Banana Pudding Recipe

One of my close friends is having a little girl so I decided to make her a special dessert surprise a few weeks ago.  I absolutely love banana pudding, so to make it "girly" I added a special ingredient - red food coloring!  I layered all ingredients in a trifle and it turned out so cute!  For a little boy blue food coloring could also be used.  The best part?  This dessert is so easy and inexpensive to make - I spent less than $20 on all ingredients using the grocery brand.  Photos and recipe below:

Ingredients for 1 Trifle:
1 package instant vanilla pudding
2 boxes vanilla wafers
10 bananas
1 8 oz container Cool Whip
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
2.5 cups milk
Several drops red food coloring (test to get correct color results)

Mix all wet ingredients in mixer until blended well, adding drops of food coloring gradually
While blending, chop bananas into 1/2 inch slices
Layer in order vanilla wafers, bananas and then pour on pudding mix (my trifle does two layers of each)
Carefully place vanilla wafers on top to add character
