Painting Stripes

First step in my nursery endeavor was to transform the room.  My original color was a light tan so I started off by painting the room in a plain flat white by Sherwin Williams.  (Note: If I hadn't had some leftover flat white paint from a previous apartment, I would have used gloss.  It's much easier to clean with the messy kiddos!)

I searched high and low for the Frazee Paleness color in the Nautical Nursery but found it was only available in California, Nevada and Arizona.   So I opted for a close second with Buoyant Blue from Sherwin Williams.

Next we taped off the room for the stripes using 24" for each.  The end result turned out so cute!  And for the full room I used 2 cans of paint - 1 white, 1 blue.  The white was leftover so my total tally so far for the room is $25.
